A Calvert County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop in the southbound lanes of Route 4 in the area of Radio Drive in Prince Frederick, where there was a vehicle driving with no lights that stopped in the middle of the busy roadway.
Upon making contact with the driver, Chesapeake Bay resident Shericka Desiree Brooks, 40, deputies said that the odor of Phencyclidine (PCP) was detected inside the vehicle.
Brooks immediately became hostile and failed to obey with the deputy’s commands, according to the sheriff's office. Brooks continued to refuse to comply and began to resist arrest until he was placed into custody and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center.
Following the arrest, Brooks was charged with negligent driving and multiple traffic-related charges, according to the sheriff’s office.
